Dog Grooming Tips
Here are a few tips for keeping your dog’s coat clean and healthy between our visits.
- Regular brushing should help avoid any matted areas, never brush your dog’s coat too harsh. I always recommend using a slicker brush if the coat is in good condition.
- Please do not try to de-matt or cut knots out of your dog’s coat by yourself - it is very easy to cut too close and nick the skin.
- If you are bathing your dog, never use human or baby shampoos. I always recommend a dog specific shampoo that will help to add moisture to your dog’s coat. All of my products are natural and free of chemicals.
- Be aware that bathing a dog with matted hair tightens matts and makes them even more difficult for me to remove. Your dog’s skin can also become irritated doing this and cause discomfort.
- Regular visits from Dial a Dog Wash are the easiest and most convenient way to keep your dog’s coat looking great.

It's important to have your puppy groomed as soon as possible so they can get used to and learn to love the grooming experience. We recommend they come in two week after their last set of vaccinations.
The length and type of your pet’s coat will determine how often your pet needs to be groomed.
All dogs regardless of age benefit from being groomed.
